About Us

Brambles Coffee shop Durham was the brainchild of the customers of Poplar Tree Garden Centre. The Garden Centre has been on the site for 40 years now and when we took ownership 6 years ago, we realised that customers were desperate for somewhere to eat, relax and bring their family.

Since the Coffee Shop was opened in Durham, we have attracted visitors from all over the North East and the rest of the UK as our popularity has grown. Visitors now see Poplar Tree Garden Centre and Brambles Coffee Shop as a full day out for their family.

Brambles Coffee Shop Durham is listed in all good North East Guide books and we attract many tourists who come to visit Durham.

We recognise the fact that there are very few Garden Centres left in the North East where you can recieve good customer care as well as have a great meal and wonderful day out and we have always tried to maintain this focus.
